VOLLEYBALL OFFICIALS WANTED

The Tacoma-Pierce County Volleyball Officials Board is in need of individuals who are interested in officiating middle school, junior high, senior high, college, and recreation department volleyball matches throughout Pierce County and south King County. A comprehensive training program is offered for all new officials and the opportunities to advance in the organization are extensive.

For students, retirees, or former athletes looking to re-connect with a sport, officiating high school sports is also an excellent way to earn some extra income and provide a great service to the teams.

For information on becoming a volleyball official, please visit our website at www.tpcvob.com or contact Marc Blau at 253-848-1360 or blaumarc@qwest.net or John Wohn at 253-272-8543 or jwohn@yahoo.com .

Wrestle With Hunger 2006

Who: International Championship Wrestling and the Pierce County Fair

What: Wrestling show, free standing room. Get a ringside seat with a donation of 3 non-perishable food items and with an additional 3 food items, receive entry coupon for the 2006 Pierce County Fair.

Where: B & I Marketplace

When: Saturday June 17, 2006 Ring time 1 p.m.

During the holiday season, people generously give to food banks to get people through the winter. Unfortunately, hunger does not end when it gets warm outside. International Championship Wrestling, the B & I Marketplace and the Pierce County Fair are teaming up to Wrestle With Hunger.

On Saturday June 17, 2006, the warriors of International Championship Wrestling will take up the battle with hunger at the B & I marketplace. A full card of matches will fill the squared circle. The show is free to the general public. However, ringside seats are available with the donation of 3 non-perishable food items. In 2005, the food drive was very successful, but it is time to go for the championship belt. For those who donate an additional 3 items, they will receive entry tickets to the 2006 Pierce County Fair, held at the Pierce County Fairgrounds August 10-13.

The Pierce County Fair is where you can “Get Your Kicks in 2006”. International Championship Wrestling returns with shows on Saturday August 12 and Sunday August 13.
