If we are going to be a strong Kiwanis Family..... IT'S UP TO ME  To personally be involved in our Kiwanis Sponsored  Programs. If children are going to be our #1 Priority,  IT'S UP TO ME To reexamine my Kiwanis efforts and those of my Club. If Kiwanis membership is going to grow, IT'S UP TO ME To ask someone to share the Kiwanis opportunity to serve.

A new Key Club has been organized at Challenger High School. Terry McClure and Lou Spencer are the Advisors.

Spanaway Lake High School is looking for a new advisor so they can be active on campus.

Bethel High School, Washington High School, Franklin Pierce HIgh School Key Clubs are in operation.

PLU Circle K Club has been approved active and a budget has been approved by the board for officers pins.

An Everyday Hero Award is being presented to Kristina London for helping bonnie Huff produce the Kiwanis newsletter.


Key Club raised $500 for the American Red Cross, stuffed Trauma Dolls for Mary Bridge Hospital, and did a food drive for the Tacoma Rescue meeting. Challenger Key Club is doing a food drive for the Youth Resources Center a home for homeless students who are still trying to get their education. Cudos to Key Club. Other activities will be tutoring and the
Giving Tree at Tacoma Mall.

The Kiwanis Scholarship was a resounding success this year and allowed us to give a lot more scholarships than we would have been able to do without this project and the wonderful help from the community making donations to the project. Thanks to Everyone who pitched in and helped.
